Web Ring Guidelines

1) Must agree with our Statement of Faith.
2) Site must be family friendly. We are a family Web Ring, all pages and links must be viewable by all ages.
3) Must be of or contain Christian content! Please do not think that one verse of scripture placed on a page makes your site "Christian". Every page is not required to quote scripture but if you are Christian that will reflect throughout your site.
3a) An individual's website is likely to include personal testimony of how one became a Christian and/or scripture and text enabling someone who is not a Christian to know what a Christian is, how one can become a Christian and be enabled to take that step of becoming a Christian.
3b) Christian Church & Missionary sites are welcome to join LHLS but we do REQUIRE that on your website you include a Statement of Faith of your organization (It could be entitled "What we believe" or something similar if Statement of Faith sounds too formal) and a presentation (entitled "How to become a Christian" or something similar) to enable someone who is not a Christian to know what a Christian is, how one can become a Christian and be enabled to take that step of becoming a Christian.
4) Must not say anything hateful about anyone. While discussion of other "religions" is okay, you must show kindness and respect to those involved. We can show that a false religion is false without demeaning the followers - the love of God must be apparent at all times during such discussions.
5) Must not malign other denominations (see above).
6) Must not include anything to cause distention among Christians. We're all on the same team here...
7) Must not express a view that evolution may have been a tool used by God. Don't blame God for the random, chaotic nature of the theory of evolution.
8) Must not compare Jesus to men of great historical significance; in other words, sites that claim Jesus was just a great man like Muhammad or Plato. Jesus Christ Our Savior is the one and only Savior and is not to be considered the same as earthly men.
9) Must not declare everyone is or will become a god, e.g., "We are all part of the universal being and will inevitably go to heaven."
10) Must not proclaim that all of the world's religions are really offshoots of Christianity and all are equally valid.
11) Must not claim to have received prophecy and publish it on your site.
12) Must not be simply commercial in nature and are trying to broaden their reach.
13) Must not be completely written in a language other than and excluding English (We are sorry but we only speak and read English and can't monitor or screen foreign-language sites). If your site offers different translations of the site Praise the Lord for being available to a greater number, these sites will not be deemed unacceptable for this reason.
14) Must not be merely discussion forums or gateways to discussion forums.
15) Must not contain objectionable, non-Christian material this would include but is not exclusive of: transcendental meditation, astral projection, white witchcraft, use of charms and crystals, vampires, mystical creatures, tarot cards, wicca, pagan, faeries, physic readings, astrology, celestial healing, numerology, channeling, gods and goddess worship, earth religion, ESP, homosexuality, pentagram, new age, magic, reincarnation, karma, metaphysics, nudity, spells, automatic writing, rituals, vulgar language, spiritism. If you belong to any groups that promote these things you will be asked to remove yourself from these groups or rings or your application will be denied - please spare us the time and yourself the embarrassment, make your choice before applying.
16) Must NOT promote links, groups, or other web rings that support non-Christian beliefs. We understand some sites must carry a banner ad placed there by the server and we make allowances for these. We're referring to those you have posted or joined voluntarily. CHECK THE MEMBERSHIP OF ALL GROUPS YOU PRESENTLY ARE MEMBER OF, you may be surprised and shocked at what you find.
17) We ask that prior to submitting your site you please check the membership listings of each and every web ring and organization that you belong to. If you find that they contain any web sites that contain objectionable material either do not apply for LHLS membership or remove yourself from those rings or organizations before applying.
18) Must display LHLS ring code on page submitted for membership (if you will be placing the code on a "ring page" submit that page, not your main or index page)
19) Upon acceptance email address must be kept current. If you change address please notify us - we must be able to contact you with updates and news of the ring or you will be removed from members list.
20) Web site address must be kept current. If you move let us know! If your page or the LHLS code cannot be found you will be removed from membership. (If you are having a problem, let us know we may possibly be able to help).

Jesus tells us to be a light to this dark world and
to tell the world about Him, and to be a witness for Him.
He did NOT tell us to fellowship with the world.
In Fact, He told us to "be in the world, but not OF the world".

Sites Will Not Be Accepted For:

We are responsible for what people see on our sites and where they go from there also. You may not be aware of the "non-Christian" links that some of the web rings/associations connect to. Some have titles that support a good thought or cause, but without discernment they support very non-Christian sites. We do not wish to be linked to any sites that are of non-Christian nature.
This is a Christian Group, and we want to keep it that way.
Please check your links and web rings before applying to LHLS.
Ask yourself,
"Would God be pleased with these links?".

We are NOT judging. That is for God to decide. We can make the choice as to who joins, and what we are linking to. As you examine the rings/associations/links that you belong to, examine them as to whether they are pleasing to God and of the Faith.
Praying today for Gods' guidance, His truth, His
light, His wisdom, His will, not ours.

Sites will be checked on a regular basis,
if a site does not agree with the above items,
You will be notified and given time to remove the material.
