VI. Only God is
Omniscient (All- Knowing)
A. All Knowing
Father God
1. 2 Chronicles 6:30 Then hear thou
from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and
render unto
every man according unto all his ways, whose
heart thou
knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the
children of men:)
2. Jeremiah 17:10 I the LORD SEARCH
THE HEART, I TRY THE REINS, even to give every
man according
to his ways, and according to the fruit of his
doings.
a. Psalms 7:9 (KJV) Oh let the
wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but
establish the
just: FOR THE RIGHTEOUS GOD TRIETH THE HEARTS AND
REINS.
B. All Knowing Jesus, God the Son
1. Revelation 2:23 (KJV) And I will
kill her children with death; and all the
churches shall
know that I AM HE WHICH SEARCHETH THE REINS AND
HEARTS: AND
I WILL GIVE UNTO EVERY ONE OF YOU ACCORDING TO
YOUR WORKS.
2. John 2:24 But Jesus did not commit
himself unto them, because HE KNEW ALL MEN,
(only God knows all men!)
3. John 16:29-30 His disciples said
unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and
speakest no
proverb. (30) Now are we sure that thou knowest
all
things, and needest not that any man should ask
thee: by
this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
a. John 7:14 Now about the
midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple,
and
taught. (15) And the Jews marvelled, saying, How
knoweth
this man letters, having never learned?
4. John 21:17 He saith unto him the
third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?
Peter was
grieved because he said unto him the third time,
Lovest thou
me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all
things;
thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto
him, Feed my sheep.
C. All Knowing God the Holy Spirit
1. Holy Spirit prophesies the future
and knows it because only God knows the future
and Holy
Spirit is God- Acts 28:25 And when they agreed
not among
themselves, they departed, after that Paul had
spoken one
word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the
prophet unto
our fathers,
a. John 16:13 Howbeit when he,
the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he
shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show
you things to come.
2. 1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath
revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the
Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of
God. [Because
the Holy Spirit searches ALL THINGS including ALL
the deep
things of God the Holy Spirit knows everything
there is to know!]
a. Romans 8:26 Likewise the
Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know
not what we
should pray for as we ought: but the SPIRIT
ITSELF MAKETH
INTERCESSION for us with groanings which cannot
be uttered.
(27) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth
what is the
mind of the Spirit, because HE MAKETH
INTERCESSION FOR THE
SAINTS ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD.
VII. Only God is The
Self Existing Eternal Being (Always
Has Existed and
Always Will Exist without being created)
A. God the Father
1. Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains
were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the
earth and
the world, even from everlasting to everlasting,
thou art God.
2. Exodus 3:14 And God said unto
Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt
thou say unto
the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto
you.
B. God the Son
1. The prophecy of the Messiah Jesus
Christ: in Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem
Ephratah, though
thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet
out of thee
shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler
in Israel;
whose goings forth have been from of old, FROM
EVERLASTING.
2. Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and
Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the
Lord, which
is, and which was, and which is to come, the
Almighty.
3. Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him,
I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right
hand upon
me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and
the last:
4. John 8:56-59 Your father Abraham
rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was
glad.(57)Then
said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty
years old,
and hast thou seen Abraham? John (58) Jesus said
unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I AM.
(59) Then took they up stones to cast at him: but
Jesus hid
himself, and went out of the temple, going
through the midst
of them, and so passed by.
5. John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God.
(2)The same was in the beginning with God.
6. We know that we have eternal life
which lasts forever because of God's gift but
Jesus has had
eternal life according to Hebrews 13:8 " ...
yesterday, and
to day, and for ever." HE'S ALWAYS HAD
ETERNAL LIFE.
C. God the Holy Spirit
1. Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall
the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered
himself without spot to God, purge your
conscience from dead
works to serve the living God?
VIII. Each Person of

A. The Unity of
Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in Creation
1. Father- Genesis 1:1 In the
beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2. Son- John 1:1-3 In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was
God. The same was in the beginning WITH GOD. (The
Unity-
working together) All things were made by him;
and without
him was not any thing made that was made.
3. Holy Spirit- Genesis 1:2 And the
earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the
face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved
upon the face
of the waters.
B. The Unity of Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in the Conception of Jesus
1. Luke 1:35 And the angel answered
and said unto her, The Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit)
shall come
upon thee, and the power of the Highest (Father
God) shall
overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing
which shall
be born of thee shall be called the Son of God
(Jesus).
C. The Unity of Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in the Baptism of Christ
1. Matthew 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he
was baptized, (Son) went up straightway out of
the water:
and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he
saw the
Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) descending like a
dove, and
lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven,
saying,
(Father) This is my beloved Son, in whom I am
well pleased.
D. The Unity of Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in the Resurrection of Jesus
1. Jesus raises Himself- John 10:18 No
man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of
myself. I have
power to lay it down, and I have power to take it
again.
This commandment have I received of my Father.
2. Father raises Jesus- Acts 3:26 Unto
you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus,
sent him to
bless you, in turning away every one of you from
his iniquities.
3. Holy Spirit raises Jesus- Romans
8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up
Jesus from the
dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from
the dead
shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his
Spirit that
dwelleth in you.
E. The Unity of Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in the Salvation of Mankind
1. Father draws- John 6:44 No man can
come to me, except the Father which hath sent me
draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
a. Born of the Father- 1 John
4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is
of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God, and
knoweth God.
2. Born again by Jesus the Word-
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible
seed, but
of incorruptible, by the word of God, which
liveth and
abideth for ever.
3. Holy Spirit convicts- John 16:8 And
when he (Holy Spirit) is come, he will reprove
the world of
sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
a. Born of Holy Spirit- John
3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou
hearest the
sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it
cometh, and
whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of
the Spirit.
F. The Unity of Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in Bestowing the Gift of the
Holy Ghost
1. Jesus will pray & Father will give-
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he
shall give
you another Comforter, that he may abide with you
for ever;
2. Jesus receives the gift from the
Father- Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right
hand of God
exalted, and having received of the Father the
promise of
the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye
now see
and hear.
3. Jesus baptizes- Luke 3:16 John
answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize
you with
water; but one mightier than I cometh, the
latchet of whose
shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall
baptize you with
the Holy Ghost and with fire:
4. Holy Spirit sent by Jesus comes and
fills the house and the people- Acts 2:2 And
suddenly
there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing
mighty wind,
and it (the sound as a rushing mighty wind Holy
Spirit is
referred to as He) filled all the house where
they were sitting.
5. Holy Spirit gives the "utterance"
Acts 2:3-4 And there appeared unto them cloven
tongues like
as of fire, and it (appearance of cloven tongues)
sat upon
each of them. And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost,
and began to speak with other tongues, as the
Spirit gave
them utterance.
G. The Unity of Father Son and Holy Spirit
Working Together in Bearing Record in Heaven
1. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that
bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and
the Holy
Ghost: and these three are one
IX. Man can only
have an understanding of God by
spiritual
discernment: Natural man can not comprehend God
with a finite mind and intellect any more than
any can fully
comprehend eternity it is a great mystery only to
be
understood by the believer through revelation.
A. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man
receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they
are spiritually discerned.
B. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy
great is the mystery of godliness: God was
manifest in the
flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels,
preached
unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world,
received up
into glory. (Note: God is mysterious not
mystical)
C. Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me
of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is,
but the
Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and
he to whom
the Son will reveal him.
D. Mark 4:10-12 And when he was alone, they
that were about him with the twelve asked of him
the
parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is
given to
know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto
them that
are without, all these things are done in
parables: That
seeing they may see, and not perceive; and
hearing they may
hear, and not understand; lest at any time they
should be
converted, and their sins should be forgiven
them.
E. Matthew 16:16-17 And Simon Peter answered
and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the
living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art
thou,
Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not
revealed it unto
thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
X. Understanding of
God is From a Cumulative Knowledge
of the Scriptures
A. The Bible doesn't say in one verse that the
Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are The One God in
three
Persons because this knowledge is revealed to
those who love
the Truth and will search for it like a pearl of
great price:
1. Great Price of giving up your
desired concept of God and accepting His truth
which He
reveals about Himself- Matthew 13:45 Again, the
kingdom of
heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking
goodly pearls:
2. Giving all you have (give up your
treasure of false doctrine) for the truth-
Matthew 13:46
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price,
went and
sold all that he had, and bought it.
3. Love the truth like the pearl of
great price or you will be deceived-
2Thessalonians 2:10-11
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in
them that
perish; because they received not the love of the
truth,
that they might be saved. And for this cause God
shall send
them strong delusion, that they should believe a
lie:
B. Search the Scriptures (scriptures plural)
1. Acts 17:10-11 And the brethren
immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night
unto Berea:
who coming thither went into the synagogue of the
Jews.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,
in that
they received the word with all readiness of
mind, and
searched the scriptures daily, whether those
things were so.
2. Cumulative: Gathering knowledge from
precept and line here and there- Isaiah 28:9-10
Whom shall
he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to
understand
doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and
drawn from
the breasts. For precept must be upon precept,
precept upon
precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a
little, and
there a little:
C. You must continue in the Word in order to
obtain truths : revelation is not from a quick
reading but
diligent study with a sincere heart
1. John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to
those Jews which believed on him, If ye CONTINUE
in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall
know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free. (Many
quote verse
32 without understanding the stipulation in verse
31 to continue)
2. Rightly divided truth only comes
from continued diligent study of the word- 2
Timothy 2:15
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a
workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth.
3. Deception and destruction come from
not diligently studying the Word- Hosea 4:6 My
people are
destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou
hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou
shalt be no
priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law
of thy God,
I will also forget thy children.
D. An accumulated knowledge: revelation of God
is written "in the volume of the book"
not in one verse-
Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the
volume (or the
roll) of the book it is written of me,) to do thy
will, O God.
1. The Scriptures testify to the deity
of the Godhead but you must search them- John
5:39 Search
the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have
eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me.
2. We see that Jesus (The Word) is God
from Genesis to Malachi- Luke 24:27 And beginning
at Moses
and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in
all the
scriptures the things concerning HIMSELF.
