The
Trinity Page 3
XI. Scripture
declares Jesus and the Father are Equal
A. John 5:18
Therefore the Jews sought the
more to kill him, because he not only had broken
the
sabbath, but said also that God was his Father,
making
himself equal with God.
B. Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of
God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

XII. Jesus is Equal
to the Father and Yet Voluntarily
Submits to His
Father Just as Wives are Spiritually Equal to
their Husbands as Being Heirs Together of the
Grace of Life
and yet are to Voluntarily Submit to their Own
Husbands
A. 1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell
with them according to knowledge, giving honour
unto the
wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being
heirs together
of the grace of life; that your prayers be not
hindered.
B. Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves
unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
C. Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be
willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless
not my will,
but thine, be done.

XIII. Holy Ghost is
also Referred to as God: Therefore He
is Equal to the
Father and the Son
A. Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath
Satan filled thine heart to LIE TO THE HOLY
GHOST, and to
keep back part of the price of the land? Acts 5:4
Whiles
it remained, was it not thine own? and after it
was sold,
was it not in thine own power? why hast thou
conceived this
thing in thine heart? thou hast not LIED unto
men, but UNTO
GOD.
B. You are the Temple of the Holy Ghost and
therefore The Temple of God Because The Spirit of
God Dwells
in you
1. 1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye
not that your body is the temple of the Holy
Ghost which is
in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your
own?
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the
temple of
God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple
of God,
him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is
holy, which
temple ye are.

XIV. The Trinity as
Revealed in 2Thessalonians 2:13-14 &
Titus 3:4-6
A. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
1. [Father-] But we are bound to give
thanks alway to God for you,
2. [Lord Jesus-] brethren beloved of the Lord,
3. [Father-] because God hath from the
beginning chosen you to salvation
4. [Holy Spirit-] through sanctification of
the Spirit and belief of the truth:
B. 2 Thessalonians 2:14
1. [Father-] Whereunto he called you
by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory
2. [Lord Jesus-] of our Lord Jesus Christ.
C. Titus 3:4
1. [Father-] But after that the
kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man
appeared,
D. Titus 3:5
1. Not by works of righteousness which
we have done, [Father-] but according to his
mercy he saved
us,
2. [Holy Spirit-] by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
E. Titus 3:6
1. [Father-] Which he shed on us
abundantly
2. [Jesus-] through Jesus Christ our
Saviour;

XV. The Trinity as
Revealed in the Great Commission and
Baptism of Believers
A. Matthew 28:18 Jesus came and spake unto
them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in
earth.
1. Jesus has been given ALL POWER; He
is Omnipotent so He is God.
2. Who had the power to give Jesus all
power? Only the Omnipotent Father.
3. Who manifests all power through Jesus?
Only the Omnipotent Holy Spirit.
B. Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
1. The name is singular tense.
2. Yet three names are listed; Father,
Son and Holy Ghost.
3. This Shows the Complete Unity and
Distinct Personality of Each Person of the
Godhead as The
One and Only True God.
C. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all
things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with
you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
1. The apostles in Acts heeded the
command of Jesus and taught "ALL THINGS
WHATSOEVER I HAVE
COMMANDED YOU" including Baptism as in this
passage.

Summation
This Presentation
reveals the Biblical Doctrine of the Trinity as
revealed in Scripture and not according to the
tradition of men. God reveals himself as He is
through His word; line upon line, precept upon
precept, here a little and there a little.
The Bible makes it clear there is only one God
from Genesis to Revelation; yet He speaks of
Himself in plural terms in many instances. We
know by the Word of God that only God is the
Creator of everything and yet each person of the
Triune Godhead are given credit for creation.
Scripture declares the Father God as creator,
Jesus the Word as creator and Holy Spirit as
creator. Scripture reveals that only God is
omnipotent and yet each person of the Godhead is
presented with this attribute. We are taught the
all powerful Father is God. And in almost the
same breath it is revealed that the Son and Holy
Spirit are all powerful as well. It is
understood, by the Word of God, that the Holy
Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Scripture teaches that only God is omnipresent
and yet it clearly declares the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit are each ETERNALLY PRESENT. Scripture
also teaches that only God is omniscient and at
the same time emphatically pronounces that the
Father is all knowing, the Son is all knowing and
that the Holy Spirit is all knowing.
The Bible proclaims that God is the one and only
self existing Eternal Being; that is, He always
has existed and always will exist without being
created or sustained by anything or anyone else.
The Bible also proclaims that God the Father, God
the Word (Son) and God the Holy Spirit each self
exist in eternity past, eternity present and
eternity future.
The Old and New Testaments show each person of
the Trinity always doing everything
simultaneously with each other; having different
roles- working together. The Unity of Father Son
and Holy Spirit is evidently witnessed in their
working together in creation, in the conception
of Jesus, in the baptism of Christ, the
resurrection of Jesus, in the salvation of
mankind, in bestowing the gift of the Holy Ghost,
and in bearing record in Heaven. (Not an
exhaustive listing.)
The natural man can not comprehend God with a
finite mind and intellect any more than he can
fully comprehend eternity. It is a great mystery
(not a mystical union but a mysterious union)
only to be understood by the believer through
revelation from God alone. Man can only have an
understanding of God by God given revelation. Yet
the believer still only knows and sees in part.
Only in the here after shall he know even as also
he is known. (1 Corinthians 13:12 " For now
we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to
face: now I know in part; but then shall I know
even as also I am known.")
The Bible doesn't explain in one verse that the
Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are the one God
eternally existent in three persons.
Understanding of God is cumulative knowledge
gleaned from the Scriptures as the Holy Spirit
opens the understanding (Luke 24:45). Truth is
revealed to those who love the truth and will
search for it like a pearl of great price. Search
the Scriptures (Scriptures plural), continue in
the Word in order to obtain truth. Revelation is
not received from a quick reading but diligent
study must take place with a sincere heart.
Scripture declares Jesus and the Father as equal,
yet Jesus voluntarily submits to his Father just
as wives, though spiritually equal to their
husbands, being heirs together of the grace of
life, are to voluntarily submit to their own
husbands. The Holy Ghost is referred to as God
also; therefore He is equal to the Father and the
Son. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and
the Son and speaks not on his own but that which
the Son gives him to say.
The Trinity is also revealed in the following
passages: 2Thessalonians 2:13-14, Titus 3:4-6 and
Matthew 28:18-20.

Conclusion
The reality of one
God eternally existent in three distinct and yet
unified persons as Father Son and Holy Ghost is
the teaching of Holy Scripture. Although man
called it trinity, the truth is evidently set
forth from Genesis to Revelation.
God must be worshipped as who he has revealed
himself to be and accepted on his terms. If God
is God then he has the right to tell his
creatures to believe in him and what to believe
about him. People would like to perceive God to
be as the image they form in their own mind. If a
person believes God is not God, then God in no
less God. If a person believes God is God, then
he is no more God. If a creature has the power to
choose the attributes they prefer God to have,
then God is not God but a mere creation of the
creature who fancied such a thought.
Believing in God and accepting untrue ideas about
God, is calling God by his name but not choosing
him as God.

Life Application
God, who reveals
himself, doesn't seek our opinion or input into
his being, character or decisions in his dealings
with his creation. He presents himself to his
creation with the information they need to know.
As creatures we must humbly accept him and his
witness of himself and truth as he has chosen to
reveal.
When one is not God it is folly to play God by
rejecting God given truth such as the Biblical
Doctrine of the Trinity because one has decided
to have other preferences about the subject. When
one is not God and deals with God one must
remember that God has more knowledge and
therefore should by all means believe and
immediately heed the word of God. A wise creature
would not say "I can't figure it out so I
won't believe it till I see it". A wise
creature will "lay apart all filthiness and
superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with
meekness the engrafted word, which is able to
save your souls." (James 1:21).
Jesus commanded his followers to go into all the
world and preach the gospel, teaching all things
he has commanded. The Question God is posing to
Christians today is: " WHO WILL GO FOR
US?" Each believer must hear " the
voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and
who will go for us?" ( Isaiah 6:8) May each
one respond to the Trinity's plea with a
resounding: "Here am I; send me."
