Merry Christmas
from
Faith, Shane, and Chaffon
Our Prayer for All We pray that
this year has been a blessing to you and a glory to
Christ Our Savoir. We have seen ourselves the miracles of
His work in our lives. We praise Him daily for our
salvation and the many joys and blessings He has given
us. He is the greatest man there ever was or will be.
Blessed Father we pray that all of our friends, family,
neighbors, co-workers, and classmates will find new life
in your love if they haven't already. Bring them to the
peace and joy that can only be obtained threw your
salvation. Bless you Father for the joys and sorrows,
smiles and tears, friends and enemies you have brought
into our lives. We pray that all who read this will take
time out to remember the true meaning of Christmas, not
the presents they will/may receive, not the decorations
and Santas, not the me me me but the celebration of the
birth of Jesus Christ our Savoir

Christmas Began... And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept
all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the
shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all
the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told
unto them. And when eight days were accomplished for the
circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS,
which was so named of the angel before he was conceived
in the womb. And when the days of her purification
according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they
brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (As
it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that
openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

We would like to share the following story with you as Christmas nears we think this is a lesson many need to learn and what a gift to Christ if we all could take a deep look at ourselves and remember that we are ALL God's children.
It was a cold winter's day that Sunday. The parking lot to the church was filling up quickly. I noticed as I got out of my car that fellow church members were whispering among themselves as they walked to the church. As I got closer I saw a man leaned up against the wall outside the church. He was almost laying down as if he was asleep. He had on a long trench coat that was almost in shreds and a hat topped his head, pulled down, so you could not see his face. He wore shoes that looked 30 years old, too small for his feet with holes all over them, his toes stuck out. I assumed this man was homeless, and asleep, so I walked on by through the doors of the church. We all gathered for fellowship for a few minutes and someone brought up the man laying outside. People snickered and gossiped but no one bothered to ask him to come in, including me. A few moments later church began. We all waited for the Preacher to take his place and to give us the Word, when the doors to the church opened. In came the homeless man walking down the aisle with his head down. People gasped and whispered and made faces. He made his way down the aisle and up onto the pulpit he took off his hat and coat. My heart sank. There stood our preacher. He was the "homeless man." No one said a
word. The preacher took his Bible and laid it on the
stand. "Folks, I don't think I have to tell you what
I am preaching about today." Then he started
singing the words to this song. "If I can help
somebody as I pass along. If I can cheer somebody
with a word or song. If I can show somebody that he's
traveling wrong. Then my living shall not be in
vain."

Added Message from Faith Over this past
year on the internet I've seen many of the "email
letters" listing favorite things. Some months ago a
friend suggesting making our own list. As with many
things it got put on the back burner and never got done.
I would like at this time to do that - a way of sharing
my favorite things with my loved ones and those important
to me, if your reading this, you are important to me. My
favorites: God, My family, My friends, My brothers
and sisters in Christ, Waterfalls, Strawberries, Bells,
Walks in a warm summer rain, Smiles, Flowers of most any
kind, Chocolate, and Sunny days on the beach. The rabbit,
squirel, and chipmunk playing in my garden 4th of July
weekend all at the same time - if only people could learn
this lesson in "getting along".
